TFG automotive is a local mechanic. Their shop looks and feels a bit run down, but their service is top-notch. There is nothing fancy about TFG automotive. The small parking lot and generic dirty building is actually what you would expect from a small town mechanic. The interior is just as stereotypical with outdated uncomfortable seating and paneled walls adorned with faded advertisements for various car parts and the high wall mounted small TV and fake plant. But don't let any of this turn you away. The employees are friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. After diagnosing the issues that my vehicle was having, they clearly explained in layman's terms what was going on and how they would fix it. At my request, they took me to the shop area and showed me in person what was going on as well as providing me with photos and videos through their online services. The conversations that I overheard between their employees and their suppliers as well as other customers reflected a desire to minimize cost and maximize positive experience. If you have a vehicle that is in need of maintenance or repair, I would highly recommend you give TFG automotive the opportunity to service your vehicle.

Older Honda was in need of some care. I presented what I thought the problem was and TFG gave it a complete diagnostic. I’m not surprised a 2010 vehicle had a lot wrong with it. But I was pleasantly surprised that the guys at TFG didn’t push to get all the issues addressed immediately! Top 2 items were presented and I went with those. Cost was lower than I anticipated and the customer service was excellent. I’ll continue to bring my vehicles to this establishment. -Brice Military service member

Everyone at TFG has been very helpful in repairing my car. I have been using them for 11 years now with 3 different vehicles. They are very knowledgeable about anything having to do with cars and trucks. They service more than just Ford products and when they fix something, it is fixed right I had an oil leak fixed and they suggested some other needed repairs, but did not pressure me into getting them done. Great show and crew, they do honest work and I could not recommend them more. I’m referring everyone I know to them. Mine was a bit of a complicated issue on one of my work trucks an older Chevy 1500, I had previously replaced axel spindle (at home) and it turns out that part that was supposed to be 100% compatible from Amazon was in fact not a proper aligned fit and it caused my suspension/fender to drag. I thought it was a coil spring, turns out it was not. Marty cut me a break on replacing the coil spring replacement I brought in, I will be removing the aftermarket axel spindle and contacting Amazon to return these and negotiate a proper repair since this has caused extra down time and money. I will be forwarding the invoice and notes of diagnosis results to Amazon. Upon getting this squared away I’ll be bringing my truck back to TFG to get it fixed properly with OEM parts not aftermarket Chinese garbage sold on Amazon, some of it works, some of it doesn’t. For major repairs stay away from Amazon I’ve found that out the hard way. Thanks Marty and staff! 🇺🇸

Shop took complete advantage of my situation. Had a Cargo Van break down due to a seize caliper. Shop at first quoted me at 3k for parts and labor told me all parts had to come from the dealer. I then told him that advance auto had the parts. They then charged me double the price for each part, like I could not see the listed parts online. $1760 for rear brakes and rotors. I would not recommend these people to anyone.

First, look carefully at the 5 star reviews, they are mostly paid/fake reviews by “local guides”!!!Shop around so you don’t get ripped off! Was quoted an estimated 600-$700 for a spark plug and coil wire change on a basic Chevy truck v8. Hughes automotive quoted $400. Trained dodge mechanic in small shop said $250. Said it is at best $150 in parts and he charges for 1 hour labor and it takes 45 minutes. So do the math on parts, they are quoting/eatimating $500 in labor for a 45 minute job!!! This is why you have to shop around if you don’t have an honest mechanic you can trust!! May be good mechanics but great rip off artists!!

Towed my car and they said i needed valve cover gasket, front and rear coil pack, and spark plugs. They charged me $225 diagnostic fee.They wanted to charge me $2184. I called another mechanic shop and they said $864. I called the mobile mechanic and he said he would do it for $250 for labor if I buy the parts. Don’t ever take your car to this place. They’re going to rip you off!

some people might say this is picky.. The man in charge the manager of the owner supposedly the knowledgeable one does not know which year each diesel motor goes into each truck.. if you were specifically a Ford diesel mechanics, you should know. They also says multiple days wasting their own time and money diagnosing across rather than doing a simple blow by test. The amount of blow by on that motor is the only information anyone ever needed to know. No, the few things are not horrible. But customer specifically asked not to give out any information. Which shouldn’t have to be said. But they shop voluntarily give out information to a stranger who is not a customer and not the customer or owner of the vehicle. And not only that the information was in accurate. If you live in Tennessee, and you have no choice would be the only reason to do business with them. If you don’t have it illegally deleted truck go to the Ford dealership

If I can give zero stars, I would!!! Feel like they saw 2 women from out of state and just purely took advantage! After check engine light came on we went here already knowing the code but still had to pay for a diagnostic charge of 250. They where suppose to fix a sensor 700$ later and 3 days after it was " fixed" the same code came up again. Had to repay to fix it correctly. Called and emailed and was given a runaround that the owner will call and still waiting for a refund. Nothing !!!! Women beware!!!! They say they fixed it but it definitely wasn't!!! What a shame this goes on, and they could care less.

The air conditioning system in my 2004 Mustang Mach1 stopped cooling. As I do not use it as an everyday driver it set for a time until I finally got around to wanting it repaired. The guys at TFG Automotive listened to my concerns about it and assured me that they have the equipment and experience to be able to handle the problem, or problems, that these systems sometimes have. After getting the system up and running the diagnostics showed it would take a second trip to the shop in order to complete the work. As it turned out (the car is 20 years old) the system was leaking badly and we opted to replace the whole air conditioning system. I was told it would take a couple of days and when I picked up the car it the air conditioning cooled to the max. I am so pleased with the work that TFG accomplished on my car. The guys there are friendly and knowledgeable about their work and I will be using them for repairs in the future.

NEVER BRING UR VEHICLE HERE! Terrible service, came in for a head gasket. Told me the vehicle was hydro locked and had to hand crank it! Then said just a new head gasket would be 3k but for them to do it right it would be 5k. Was charged 250 for them to keep it a week never call me and lied to and taken advantage of. I hope u see my review before u bring ur vehicle here. I saw alot of good reviews too. This place must of changed hands or lost the real mechanics. NEVER BRING UR VEHICLE HERE

Took my Toyota Prius to TFG Automotive for an AC repair, but turned out to be the compressor, which in unlike any other automobile compressor (not something they could do because of the high voltage component), and TFG Automotive elected to not charge me for the diagnosis. You know you’re dealing with honest people when they do work and don’t charge for it. They will be the first place we go for all our future automotive repair needs.

BEWARE! Moms beware! Woman beware. Go somewhere else. Well as much as I didn’t want this to Happen to me it did. I read the reviews and thought this would be a good shop. An Auto Mechanic Shop that isn’t honest and took advantage of as much as they could. Had my car for longer then they told me.Killed my car battery. Avoided me. Wouldn’t be accountable. I took it to another mechanic to make sure they actually did what they said they did. That’s how much I couldn’t trust them or what they said. They told me the owner would call me and never did.

Went in to get cost of brakes for f-350. Ford of Murfreesboro gave mea quote for brakes. Told me they need pads and rotors. When ford guys checked brakes told me they fine didn't need changed anytime soon. Thanks for their honesty. They will get the job when it's time for brakes or anything else.

This is a great shop that is honest and fair. The mechanics are skilled and proficient. I took my vehicle in for an issue and they did other things on it that I didn’t ask for and couldn’t afford but needed to be done. They just said they took care of it for me and didn’t charge me. Every time I have been there I left thinking they did me a favor. I have sat in their lobby and watched Jack talk to his customers and tell them all their options and explained what would be best for them and not what would bring in more money.

I am never disappointed when I visit TFG Automotive. I came in for routine maintenance and asked to have my lights checked. I had a headlight out and my car told me there was a brake light that needed adjusting. They told me they could fix it but it would be a wait. They are always upfront when it comes to telling me about those things because they know my time is valuable, just like anyone else's. Of course, I waited and they got to me as quick as they could. They even updated me on their progress so I knew just where I stood. I brag about them all the time. Keep up the good work guys!!

Wow. These guys did a FANTASTIC job for me. I asked a seller to bring his 2013 Ford Mustang GT by for a pre-purchase inspection. They were very flexible and fit me into the schedule the next morning, but that's not what impressed me. Their technician sent the full report and discussed it with me over the phone at length and I was blown away by how completely thorough the inspection was, as well as his automotive knowledge. Honestly, they severely undercharged me for the amount of work and meticulousness that was delivered. I can confidently highly recommend this shop for any inspection (PPI) needs and diagnostic needs you may have. I have owned multiple Shelby vehicles (GT350, GT500) and consider myself a car guy, and after only two interactions with this shop they 100% deserve this 5-star review. -Adam

Great guys here. We were in the area, and the truck needed some work. They were able to work me in and get things done. Follow-up: After getting the truck back from them, I noticed the rear axle seal leaking, and it was unrelated to any work they had done. Come to find out, Tire Kingdom in FL installed the brakes wong and did $6,000 in damages. Thankfully Tire Kingdom covered the cost. Thanks to Jack and Joey for getting things done.

Really helped out during a major issue, communicated clearly, went above and beyond. More importantly I had some issues with defective parts after the repair, they fixed those issues immediately, even two issues that had nothing to do with the repair they preformed without any debate. I had a service engine light come on in my car. Took it to the dealership, they said it will take 2 weeks before they can look at it. Then I remembered that TFG owner told me a few years ago that they do work on imports. So took it over there. While they were busy too they were able to diagnose the problem later that same day and complete the repair 2 days later which is a lot better than 2 weeks! Overall a very positive experience, highly recommend

PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING! We had a transmission rebuilt for $3200 and took 3 months to complete. That would be okay if they offered a warranty. Transmission lasted just over one year and now it is completely useless. I am having to buy a new transmission. Since I’ve done research and found many other places offer warranties on their work. Don’t make the same mistake I did. The Picture show transmission fluid leaking from the car.

I have a 2002 Ford Excursion with the 7.3L diesel engine. One injector wasn't firing. They found the problem and fixed it up in two days. Plus they fixed two oil leaks and made a repair to the front suspension/steering. I'm satisfied with their communication and work. It was a little more expensive than I'd hoped, but the final bill was within a few cents of their quote. I really appreciate that. I focus more on the service and quality from a mechanic. I've had cheaper work done with bad communication and poor timing at other places. I'm pleased these guys got the job done quick, for exactly the amount they quoted me, and called me to update me a few times.

I needed a vehicle inspection done for a possible used car purchase for my son. Shay fit me in on their schedule within hours - on the same day. I was then emailed a complete diagnostic evaluation from their new system - with pictures. I bought the car and now my son has the complete run-down for his reference. I had a misfire in my truck. Which I didn't feel like tackling. Super nice person that I spoke to. But I was charged I've 150.00 to tell me that if I wanted just my sparkle plugs and sparkplug wires replaced not a full tune up, over 1000.00 I opted to do it myself it took me 80 dollars. No disrespect WOW . No thank you!
